DACAN INTERNET SERVICES WEB DESIGN AND HOSTINGTERMS OF BUSINESSStandard Terms A deposit of £100 (GDB) or 25% of the original quotation is payable in advance for all web site design work unless otherwise agreed. This will also register your chosen .co.uk domain name (other domains ie .com/.net may be registered at an extra cost) and we will design your home page. This page will then be published to an internet location for the clients written or e-mailed approval before any further work is carried out. Once the clients approval for this page is received we will continue to develop the website using the content agreed before hand. The progress of the website can be monitored 24-7 from the same location so that any alterations can be made during the development process. If at any time the client is not happy with any aspect of the website we will change it. Only when the client has confirmed in writing or by e-mail that they are satisfied with the website will we publish it to the registered domain. The balance of the website design fee will become due once the website is completed to the clients satisfaction and published to the registered domain. Balances may be paid monthly by standing order where agreed. All websites, paid for by installments or otherwise, remain the property of Dacan Internet Services, until such time as payment is made in full. All cheques should be made payable to 'Dacan'
and forwarded to the following address. Dacan Internet Services Where the unlimited text up-date service is required the service will be at the discretion of Dacan Internet Services. It will be applied only to static web pages and not those which are dynamically or database driven or Flash sites. All required text changes must be supplied by the client, by e-mail to be added to the respective pages. Special arrangements can be made with clients wishing to have full up-dates on a regular basis prices discussed on an individual basis. The following hosting terms and fees relate to Standard
Website Hosting (Standard HTML websites not including e-commerce or
database driven websites). All e-commerce or database driven website
hosting fees will be quoted on an individual basis. At present (April 2002) this charge is £140 per year. This fee is payable as soon as the website goes live and will then be due for renewal 12 months from the date the website goes live, payable 1 month in advance to ensure continuation of service. If the client wishes to transfer the domain and hosting away from Dacan Internet Services, the full charge will be payable prior to the transfer taking place. Websites designed using our Template Design Package will receive FREE hosting and .co.uk domain name registration for a period of 12 months. Clients may host their websites, designed by Dacan Internet Services, on previously registered web space in which case no hosting fee will be payable to Dacan Internet Services. This option will also apply to clients wishing to host their websites on free web space provided by a free ISP (ie Freeserve). Where hosting fees are paid monthly a standing order mandate must be completed prior to the website going live. All prices on this website are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and are subject to change without notice.
