Website hosting and maintenance

All websites we develop include 12 months hosting and a .co.uk domain name free of charge for the first 12 months. Prices for hosting websites following the initial 12 month period depend on the size and complexity of the website at the time of renewal and start at £100.00 per year and include any domain name renewal charges if relevant.

If you currently have a website and are looking for a new reliable hosting service for your business then please contact us. All websites are hosted on our secure, dedicated servers and offer regular back-ups to ensure your important data is safe.

We can offer a managed website hosting service whereby we can perform updates and maintenance on your web site as required, or we can allow ftp access to your website files for you to maintain the website in house.

We can also provide a website maintenance and promotion service whether or not we actually host your website for you. So, if you require updates to your website and are unable to perform this task in house, or your current designers are unable to update when required we can help.

Search Engine Optimisation and Promotion

All websites we create are fully optimised on individual pages to ensure the best placement on search engines for relevant phrases. This is included in the cost of any website development work we perform.

Once your websites on-page optimisation is complete, the next important step is to generate links pointing to it. This can be in the form of search engine and directory submission, reciprocal linking and sourcing other relevant websites. Please contact us if you would like us to assess your optimisation or submit your site to search engines.

If you currently have a web site which isn't performing as you would like on search engines we will be happy to analyse and optimise your web site for you. If the web site isn't indexed on search engines we can offer search engine submission to major engines and directories. Prices for search engine submission start at £50.00 for a one-off submission and include a report detailing the search engines we have submitted your website too and been successful in adding.

Search engine submission is not necessary for the main search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing as they will find and index your site from links on other sites pointing to it. Indeed, regular submission to these engines can have a detrimental effect on your website rankings and even result in your domain being banned from these search engines. If your website is already indexed on these major search engines but not ranking well, it could be to do with the on page optimisation which we can assess for you.

If on-page optimisation seems good, then it is likely to be because you have few links pointing to your site or they are of low quality. We will submit your website to many directories and smaller search engine which, although not generating much direct traffic in themselves, will help to build link popularity or Google PageRank which will in turn help to improve your website rankings on the major search engines.

Search engine optimisation and website promotion is an ongoing process and once the above is complete you should still actively seek links to your website from quality, relevant sources. Each link from a quality source works as a vote in favour of your website, increasing the relevance on Google and other search engines. You can obtain links in house by visiting individual websites and requesting a link and reciprocating or purchasing a link back to you. Sourcing some of these sites yourself can often be the best advice as they are likely to be very relevant and bring in direct traffic as well as help improve your Google PageRank. If you find a website using a relevant search phrase and obtain a link back then visitors should be able to find you via that link.

If resources don't permit sourcing these links in house then we can provide a link building service. This can either be a one-off campaign or on a monthly basis and will involve manually finding relevant links as well as submitting online PR press releases or articles to relevant sources and blog and forum submission. Prices for these services begin at £150 for a one-off campaign or monthly subscription.

Please contact us if you would like to use our website link building services.

Social Network Marketing, Facebook, Twitter, etc....

Major search engines are also now placing greater emphasis on social networking links on sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Having accounts on these social networking websites is very important now and you should add your link from time to time on them. Facebook is now the most visited website beating Google for Traffic (February 2010) and this can be a major source of direct traffic as well as helping to improve traffic on search engines. With a Facebook account you should create a Facebook page and then acquire fans (or'likes') for that page. Include on that page your website link ensuring you use the http:// first. Add comments to that page which also includes your website link. Ask fans of the page to share the page with their friends and contacts, increasing the viral marketing aspect.

To increase the number of links to your website, search Facebook for similar relevant pages and 'Like' these. Once done you can post a comment to the wall of that page and include your link in the post. Ensure you only post your link to a maximum of around 5 pages per week.
